Andrew S. Patrick![]() Andrew S. Patrick is a former Special Agent for the United States Secret Service. During the course of his Secret Service career Andy has supervised and directed the planning and implementation of security arrangements for the President, Vice President, and foreign heads of state. He also spent a great deal of his Secret Service career in a liaison role with the U.S. Intelligence community, supervising and directing the receipt and review of law enforcement and national security intelligence information, and assessing its impact on Secret Service protective responsibilities. Andy has extensive experience conducting and supervising criminal investigations into the counterfeiting of U.S. currency and commercial obligations, financial institution fraud, access device fraud, computer fraud, and other violations of law. Additionally, he has participated in numerous public and private partnerships involving critical infrastructure protection and emergency preparedness. In his role as Chief Executive Officer for Advance Point Global, Andy directs international security, investigative, and crisis management consulting services for businesses and non-profit organizations of all sizes and government agencies. Andy is an active member of the American Society of Industrial Security, the Association of Former Agents – United States Secret Service, the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Island Council. Work HistoryDuring the course of his assignment with the Vice Presidential Protective Division Mr. Patrick planned, coordinated and supervised Counter Surveillance advance teams, established security and planned logistics, and conducted vulnerability assessments to provide a secure environment during foreign and domestic travel of the Vice President of the United States. During the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston Mr. Patrick was assigned as the Intelligence Coordinator. This event was designated as a National Special Security Event by the Secretary of Homeland Security. This required Mr. Patrick to develop the plan to establish and Intelligence Coordinating Center for the collection, analysis and dissemination of intelligence information pertaining to the security and movements of Secret Service protectees and the security of major event venues. During the 2000 Presidential Campaign Mr. Patrick was assigned as the Lead Advance Agent for Governor George W. Bush, Republican Presidential Nominee at the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia, which was also designated as a National Special Security Event. Mr. Patrick was responsible for the coordination of all aspects of this complex advance, to include sites and transportation, detail briefings, logistics and police and staff liaison. Andrew S. Mr. McElynn has since served as President of GLOBAL ENQUIRIES INCORPORATED, a private, worldwide intelligence network that gathers information and conducts discreet enquiries for organizations operating in the global marketplace. Mr. McElynn has also been active in Community Service in the Low Country area of South Carolina in the field of drug prevention and education. In 2001 he was recognized as a “ Community Hero ” by the Governor of South Carolina & was also named “ Citizen of the Month ” by the Mayor of Hilton Head. In 2002 he received the prestigious “ Palmetto Services Award ” presented by the South Carolina Department of Education. In April of 2003, Governor Mark Sanford inducted Mr. McElynn into The Order of the Silver Crescent, South Carolina's highest honor for civilian volunteer service. Mr. McElynn has served on the board of directors of the Boys & Girls Club, the Advisory Board of the Hilton Head Law and Justice Academy & presently serves on the Greater Island Public Safety sub-committee. He is a member of the Adjunct Faculty of St. Petersburg College, the Steering Committee of the 14 th Judicial Circuit (SC) Drug Court and is the Project Director of the Community Alliance for Drug Education.
